I’m Deric and I’m the owner and rafting guide here at Sierra Whitewater.

Achsa has been with Sierra Whitewater since 2008 and grew up boating on the local rivers.

Zack grew up in the Sierra foothills and that has helped shape his passion for recreation. More than anything, he loves to share that passion with others.

Tucker is from Tuolumne California. He has spent the past 10 years exploring rivers and waterfalls in Northern California. It brings him great joy to take guests on a whitewater adventure! Go Team Tucker!

Noah grew up in Northern California and has always had a passion for the outdoors. He is also a major history buff, and can tell you everything about the local history on your rafting trip.

Madde is Southern CA beach girl brought up to Northern Ca for the river and all the adventures it holds. After a few years of boating she wanted to become a raft guide and has been pursuing that passion ever since. Outside of rafting she can be found reading a long book by the river, going on a hike, or just hanging with friends.

Spencer is from Southern California and has a deep love for the outdoors. When he’s not on the river guiding rafting trips, you’ll likely find him exploring new hiking trails or spending time by the ocean. His easygoing nature and passion for adventure make him a great presence on any trip, helping guests feel comfortable, confident, and ready to enjoy the experience on the water.

Rebecca is from Big Flat, a small mining town and rafting community in Northern California. She grew up next to the Trinity River and greatly appreciates and respects river ecosystems. Rebecca has lived in Sacramento for over a decade and visits the American River whenever possible. In addition to rafting, Rebecca enjoys hiking with her dog Dante.

Sean is a California native who has 12+ years of experience rafting all over California and Costa Rica. He loves rafting with all skill levels and is the perfect choice if you want extra adventure or are new to the sport and want a seasoned guide to show you the ropes.

Born in Vail, Colorado, Quaid is a long-time raft guide having rafted many whitewater tours around the world including Zimbabwe, West Virginia, and the Western US. He is now dipping his paddle into  different forks of the American River in California. Outside of rafting he’s also an aerospace engineer who enjoys videography and kitesurfing while residing in North Lake Tahoe.
